  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced onion
  • 4-6 cloves crushed garlic

Steps
  1. Combine the chicken pieces, vinegar, soy sauce, onion, garlic, bay leaf, peppercorns and salt to a large bowl and refrigerate for 1-4 hours to marinate.
  2. Heat up some cooking oil in a pan. Place the chicken and its marinade in a large pot. Add the water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Let it simmer for around 15 minutes. Put some soy sauce and let it simmer again for roughly around 15 minutes.  Mix it from time to time.
  4. Add some vinegar.  Cover it and don’t stir.  Let it boil.
  5. Simmer it until you reach desired consistency of the sauce.  We like the sauce thick so I would simmer it for roughly 15 more minutes on low to medium heat.

Your Adobong Manok is already done.  Serve it with rice. Enjoy.

  • 13 1/2 or 500 grams brown rice flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cup warm milk (110 degrees F.) or non-dairy liquid
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Extra rice flour for sprinkling

  • Sift the flour. Pour the flour into a large bowl or on a work surface.

  • Draw the ingredients together.  Then mix with your hands to form a dough.
  • Cover the bowl with a kitchen cloth, and set the bowl aside for approximately 1½ – 2 hours until the dough doubles in volume. The time required for rising will depend on the strength of the yeast and the temperature of the room.

  • Shape one piece of dough into a thin round layer. Make a pizza about 12 inches in diameter.
  • Bake pizza crust for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Top Pizza Crust with sauce and your preferred toppings.
